Job description

We are looking for a motivated and personable Marketing Communications Assistant to join our team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone interested in marketing, communications, public relations, community engagement, and customer-facing work.

The Marketing Communications Assistant will support marketing and outreach initiatives, communicate our organization's message to the community, and assist with promotional activities and events. No prior professional marketing experience is required-training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with marketing and communications campaigns and initiatives
  • Represent the organization at community events, promotional activities, and outreach programs
  • Communicate with customers, community members, and prospective clients professionally
  • Help promote products, services, programs, and organizational initiatives
  • Assist with event planning, setup, coordination, and follow-up
  • Support the creation and distribution of marketing materials and promotional content
  • Build positive relationships with customers, community partners, and team members
  • Gather feedback and communicate customer and community needs
  • Assist with social media, email communications, and other marketing activities
  • Track outreach activities and maintain accurate records

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field is a plus
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable interacting with people in person and over the phone
  • Positive, professional, and outgoing personality
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Basic computer and social media skills
  • Customer service, retail, hospitality, sales, volunteer, or communications experience is a plus but not required
