Outside Sales Representative 1 (Setter) - Gurnee, IL & Surrounding Communities
1099 Independent Contractor | Paid Training | Uncapped Earnings | August 2026 Start

R3 Roofing & Exteriors is expanding into the Gurnee, Illinois market, and we're looking for motivated individuals to help launch our newest territory. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing company at the ground level and play a key role in building our presence throughout Gurnee and the surrounding communities.
Join the founding sales team helping launch R3 Roofing & Exteriors' newest market in Northern Illinois.
As an Outside Sales Representative 1 (Setter), your primary responsibility is simple: connect with homeowners and offer complimentary property inspections.
You are not responsible for performing inspections or closing sales.
Once a homeowner expresses interest, you will schedule an appointment and hand the opportunity off to an Outside Sales Representative 2 (Closer), who conducts the inspection, meets with the homeowner, and manages the sales process.
This allows you to focus on what you do best-meeting people, building relationships, and creating opportunities.

Compensation Plan
  • Weekly Draw: $400 per week, paid back through commissions earned on signed contingencies.
  • Contingency Pay: $175 per signed contingency.
  • Contract Bonuses (paid at contract signing, based on total contract price):
    • $0 - $24,999: No bonus
    • $25,000 - $39,999: 0.5% of total contract price
    • $40,000+: 0.75% of total contract price

All contract bonuses are paid in addition to the $175 contingency payout.
Independent Contractor Opportunity (1099)
This position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, providing greater flexibility and unlimited earning potential. As an independent contractor, you have the freedom to manage your schedule, maximize your income through performance, and take advantage of potential business-related tax deductions available to self-employed professionals. Many of our top performers appreciate the flexibility, autonomy, and earning opportunities that come with a 1099 structure.

• Offer complimentary property inspections
• Schedule appointments for our inspection team

• Maintain strong communication with your assigned Closer

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable working outdoors and knocking doors five days per week
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license

Start Date
This position is expected to begin in August 2026 as we launch operations in the Gurnee market.
