Job description

Job Title: Sales Operations Analyst
Primary Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan
Position Type: Contract | 6-Month Assignment | On-Site
Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Sales Operations Analyst. This is a contract role based in Farmington Hills, Michigan. This position exists to support a manufacturing organization's North American sales team in recovering tariff-related costs by gathering, analyzing, and reporting component-level import tariff data across multiple customers and plant locations.
What You Bring to the Role

  • Experience working with import documentation, including 7501 entry forms and component invoices
  • Familiarity with U.S. tariff classifications, including Section 232 auto tariffs and IEEPA tariff structures
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to track and reconcile data across multiple sources and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data tools for compiling and organizing financial impact data
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills to coordinate with plant teams and internal sales groups on missing or incomplete data


What You'll Do

  • Gather monthly tariff impact data at the component level from multiple plant teams across North American operations
  • Utilize 7501 import documents and component invoices to identify applicable tariff types for each import
  • Complete required customer-specific documentation on a monthly or quarterly basis using collected tariff data
  • Review data with the Sales team to ensure accuracy and consistency prior to submission
  • Monitor customer due dates and ensure documentation is submitted to the Sales team on time
  • Follow up with respective plants when tariff data is missing, incomplete, or late
  • Support Sales planning by providing historical, planned, and paid tariff impact breakdowns by tariff type
  • Assist with 232 auto and IEEPA tariff impact forecasts and track credits from customers to support efficient cost recovery


Compensation Information
The expected hourly rate for this position is $30-35 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.
