Job description

Entry-Level Weld Inspector

Location: Deer Park, TX
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour


Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Weld Inspector to join our team in Deer Park, TX. This position is ideal for candidates with welding knowledge, fabrication experience, technical training, or an interest in quality control and inspection within an industrial environment.

The Weld Inspector will assist with monitoring welding activities, reviewing weld quality, documenting inspection results, and ensuring compliance with company and customer specifications.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in inspecting welds for quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements
  • Perform visual inspections of welds and fabricated components
  • Verify materials, weld procedures, and documentation are properly maintained
  • Review drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications
  • Document inspection findings and prepare reports
  • Assist with quality control audits and corrective actions
  • Work closely with welders, supervisors, and project personnel
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Support testing and inspection activities as directed


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic knowledge of welding processes such as TIG, MIG, FCAW, or SMAW
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in both office and shop environments


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous welding, fabrication, quality control, or industrial experience
  • Technical school or vocational training related to welding or inspection
  • Familiarity with welding symbols and inspection terminology
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) trainee status or interest in pursuing certification
  • Experience in industrial, refinery, petrochemical, or manufacturing environments
