ROLE SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

As a Safety Technician, you will support the day-to-day execution of Locke Solutions' safety programs. You'll assist in routine inspections, data tracking, training coordination, and incident follow-up. This entry-level safety role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in workplace safety while contributing to a culture of care and accountability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct regular safety walkthroughs and observations to identify potential hazards.
  • Assist in maintaining safety documentation such as logs, checklists, and inspection reports.
  • Support the coordination and delivery of safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Monitor the use of PPE and help enforce basic safety rules on-site.
  • Assist with incident reporting and initial data collection.
  • Help track corrective actions and ensure they are completed.
  • Facilitate Plant/Office Safety meetings in English/Spanish
  • Participate in safety meetings and prepare meeting materials.
  • Post signage and help maintain safety communication boards.
  • Support compliance efforts with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
  • Provide hands-on support during safety drills and emergency response exercises.
  • Provide support for monthly facility inspections regarding fire extinguishers, eye wash stations and equipment
  • Ensure plant inspections inputted daily into safety portal as requested per HSE Manager

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • OSHA 511/510 or CSST preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
