Position Description:
The Merchandiser is responsible for stocking shelves and rotating products in designated grocery and super store center. In addition, this position is responsible for the performance of all duties within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements
Essential Functions:
  • Stock shelves, displays, and coolers with products daily primarily at grocery stores and super store centers in accordance with company and brewery merchandising standards
  • Manage incoming product at stores by emptying trucks and pallets and placing product in back stock or shelves
  • Organize product using proper rotation standards for freshness and quality, face product on shelves
  • Condense and organize back stock and backrooms at customer locations to ensure cleanliness at all times
  • Prepare damaged and outdated product for pickup and return
  • Place proper point-of-sale materials on mail shelf, displays, and coolers
  • Exhibit strong commitment to the service needs of the external customer
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Compliance with all company safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

Non Essential Functions:
  • Build, set, or move product displays at customer locations
  • Assist sales reps with various tasks as needed

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
  • Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards established by Doll Distributing LLC
  • Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning and understanding product portfolios
  • Demonstrate strong communication, customer relations, time management, and problem resolution skills

Qualifications:
  • Must be 19 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
  • Ability to work within multiple locations within assigned territory
  • Provide own transportation to and from multiple work site locations
  • Must have insured personal vehicle for transportation between accounts and provide the company with updated insurance as it renews

Working Conditions:
  • Temperature/Climate
    • This position will spend 90% of the shift in a climate-controlled environment and 10% of the shift in an outdoor environment
  • Safety Considerations
    • This position drive personal vehicle to customer locations in various weather conditions
  • Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities
    • The individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, waist level, waist to should level, shoulder level to overhead. Must have ability to push/pull/lift a maximum of 165 lbs. with appropriate equipment. Requires significant demands on these physical requirements through entire work shift with tasks performed in all weather conditions. The ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions is required.
