To thrive as an Entry Level Roofing professional, you need basic knowledge of roofing materials, physical stamina, and comfort working at heights, often with a high school diploma or GED required. Familiarity with hand tools, safety harnesses, and occasionally OSHA safety certifications is commonly expected. As an Entry Level Roofing worker, you'll assist with removing old roofing material, carrying and organizing supplies, measuring and cutting roofing materials, and helping to install shingles, tiles, or other roofing systems under the supervision of experienced roofers. You may also help with cleaning up debris from job sites and performing basic maintenance on tools and equipment. The role often involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and collaborating closely with a team to meet project deadlines. This hands-on experience is an excellent way to build foundational skills and understanding of roofing methods, paving the way for advancement within the trade.
An Entry Level Roofing job involves assisting with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs under the supervision of experienced roofers.
