Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room.
The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population.
Patient diagnoses will include pediatric and geriatric cases as well as trauma patients.
The Emergency Room is a full-service unit with a focus on trauma, stroke, and cardiac stabilization.
The nurse will respond to in-house emergencies such as Code Blue and Rapid Response situations.
A patient ratio of 1:4 is expected during both day and night shifts.
The role requires flexibility and the ability to float within the emergency department.
Traveling staff must complete all education assigned within a week of their assignment.
Weekends and holiday shifts will be scheduled as needed.
Mandatory cancellations may occur due to low census.
Compliance documentation must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment.
All background checks will be conducted, with no felony convictions accepted.
One professional reference from a supervisor or manager is required.
The candidate must not have been a former employee within the last year.
Candidates should be prepared for possible Epic training if they do not pass the test-out module.
Experience with necessary procedures and protocols in trauma care is preferred.
