Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)

Relocation assistance available. Employment Type: Permanent, Part time.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join a patient-centered, community-based healthcare organization committed to team-based care. This role operates within the Patient Centered Medical Home model and collaborates closely with physicians, ARNPs, PAs, and nursing staff to deliver high-quality, comprehensive care across a diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced clinical assessments and manage illnesses and conditions within ARNP scope of practice
  • Collaborate with physicians, PAs, ARNPs, and nursing staff on patient care management
  • Develop and implement individualized teaching plans to support patients in achieving and maintaining optimal health
  • Use sound, independent clinical judgment in patient care decisions based on evidence-based data
  • Maintain timely and accurate chart documentation (within 48-hour timeline, 95% of the time)
  • Complete fee slips with appropriately matching diagnosis and procedure codes
  • Meet productivity expectations (minimum 3,400 encounters per year, full-time equivalent)
  • Provide care coordination through daily huddles as part of the PCMH model
  • Identify at-risk patient populations and monitor panel-specific population health
  • Empower patients through self-management education and discharge planning
  • Advocate for patients by explaining all procedures and treatment plans prior to execution
  • Participate in quality management, peer review, and departmental practice development
  • Support clinical education of other health professionals including student nurse practitioners
  • Maintain all required annual training (HIPAA, Cultural Diversity, BBP, Sexual Harassment)

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited ARNP program (required)
  • Current RN and ARNP licensure in the State of Washington (required)
  • Prescriptive authority from Washington State (required)
  • Experience practicing in a broad primary care clinic setting (required)
  • Experience in minor surgical techniques (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of the nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
