Experience: Minimum of six months to three years of nursing experience required. Five or more years of direct experience preferred.

License: Current RN License

Certifications: BLS Certification required. Preferred certifications include ACLS, PALS, and TNCC.

Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities. The RN is responsible for the prevention of illness and injury. The RN alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocates for the care of individuals and families. The RN is accountable for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and applicable policies. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care. The RN assesses, plans, delegates, coordinates, implements, and evaluates nursing care for a group of patients. The RN serves as a primary nurse and/or accountable nurse as designated by unit assignment. The RN educates patients and families in health promotion and disease management using available resources. The RN utilizes knowledge of pharmacology and safely administers medications according to policy. The RN shares responsibility for productivity and effective resource utilization, including staffing and supplies. The RN complies with all nursing practice standards and regulatory requirements. The RN actively participates in and supports nursing governance and improvement initiatives. The RN engages in professional development and completes all mandatory education requirements. The RN integrates nursing research and current evidence into practice. The RN provides a supportive learning environment for new employees and students. The RN performs other duties as assigned.
