• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing screenings to evaluate each client’s substance abuse history and mental health status through structured interviews and standardized evaluation tools.
• Develop and regularly update personalized treatment plans that address not only addiction but also any co-occurring mental health disorders, ensuring a comprehensive approach to recovery.
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that incorporate evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, helping clients navigate the complexities of recovery.
• Collaborate daily with a diverse treatment team, including nurses, addiction specialists, and social workers, to coordinate integrated care and improve patient outcomes.
• Provide educational resources and support to clients’ families, promoting their involvement in the recovery process and reinforcing strategies to support their loved ones.
• Document client interactions and treatment progress meticulously, ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

Your primary focus will be individuals facing challenges related to substance abuse, many of whom may also be dealing with concurrent mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma. You will guide clients through personalized recovery plans, adapting interventions to meet the diverse needs of individuals from various backgrounds.

• A valid and active license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW, required.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in addiction counseling, with specialized training in techniques and methodologies specific to substance abuse interventions.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based practices and current literature surrounding substance abuse treatment and co-occurring disorders.
• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, with the ability to inspire motivation and progress in clients.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a multidisciplinary team setting.

• Previous experience working virtually or in a remote clinical setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with treatment planning software and electronic health record systems will provide an advantage.
• Advanced certifications in trauma-informed care or related specialties may enhance applicant profiles.
