Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Clinical Coordinator, you will provide essential leadership and meticulous oversight, ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality patient care and operational efficiency within your clinical area.
Every day you will expertly manage patient flow, coordinate staffing, resolve complex clinical challenges, and meticulously monitor adherence to protocols and standards, fostering an environment of excellence and collaboration.

  • PERSONAL HYGIENE: AM/PM Care, Bath, partial and complete bed, Bath, tub or shower, Back rub, HS care, Oral hygiene, Shampoo, Medicinal shampoo, Shave, face, Denture care, Hearing aid care, Nail care, cleaning of, Care of patient belongings, Peri Care.
    SKIN CARE: Alternating pressure mattress, Air bed (TCU only), Back care, Incontinent care, Heel and elbow protectors, Preoperative skin preparation, Orthopedic skin prep/care, Nonlegend topical ointments, creams, lotions to intact skin.
  • DIET/ELIMINATION: Monitoring intake/output, Feeding the patient, Pre/post-meal care, Meal pass, pick up, Nourishments, Water, Bedpan, give or empty, Emesis, Enema, cleansing, Enema, retention, Enema, Harris flush, Impaction, removal (not in TCU), Urinal, giving an removing, Urinary drainage, Menu assistance.
  • VITAL SIGNS: Blood pressure, Pulse, apical/radial, Respirations, Temperature, oral, Temperature, rectal, Weight, balance scale, Weight, bed scale, Pain Score.
    BED MAKING: Occupied/Unoccupied
  • AMBULATION: Assist in and out of chair, Assist in and out of wheelchair, Assist to walk, Simple physical therapy under direction of RN: Assist to walk with crutches, Assist to walk with walker, Assist to walk with cane, Assist with simple exercises.
    PATIENT MOVEMENT: Orientation to room, Transport of patient, WC/gurney/bed, Discharge of patient, Transfer patient room, Death, care at time of, Mother/baby identification (WICU only).
  • EQUIPMENT: Foot cradle, CPM carel, Monitor traction equipment, Head board, foot board, Overhead frame, Trapeze, Side rails, guerneys, Mobilizer, Mechanical lifts.
    RESTRAINTS/PATIENT RIGHTS: Application of restraints, Postural supports, Privacy, Answer call lights.
  • DOCUMENTATION/COMMUNICATIONS: Computer charting, Order entry/transcription (Not in TCU), Basic medical terminology, Phone etiquette/use, Copying medical records, filing, Supply ordering, Chart analysis - limited, Birth Certificates (WICU only), Stocking unit supplies.

Job Requirements
Required
  • CNA is required unless successful completion of 1st clinical semester of RN or LVN nursing program and continued enrollment in RN or LVN program.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant: CA
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support
