This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working day/evening/night/weekend shifts between 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.

  • Perform scrub functions including theselectionand handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure.

  • Perform circulating functions including monitoring,recordingand communicating patient condition and managing overall nursing care ofpatientbefore, during and after procedure.

  • Prepare the OR, surgicalinstrumentsand equipment for use.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

  • Internal applicants:one year of recent related clinical experience

  • External applicants:twoyearsof recent related clinical experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross - If you do not hold this certification, you must obtain it within six months of hire

  • Two years of experience with circulating and scrubbing

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

  • Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 pounds and ability to push, pull, and navigate supply carts weighing > 75 pounds periodically.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $43.00

Maximum hourly: $43.00
