Entry Level Rn Adn information

What is the difference between Entry Level Rn Adn vs Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)?

AspectEntry Level Rn AdnLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
CredentialsAssociate Degree in Nursing (ADN), RN licensePractical Nursing diploma or certificate, LPN license
Work EnvironmentHospitals, clinics, long-term care, more complex patient careLong-term care, clinics, less complex patient care
Job ResponsibilitiesAssessments, care planning, administering medications, patient educationBasic patient care, vital signs, assisting RNs and doctors

Entry Level Rn Adn professionals are registered nurses with an ADN credential, allowing them to perform more advanced patient care tasks compared to LPNs. Can you get a job with just an entry level RN ADN?

An entry-level Registered Nurse (RN) with an ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) can typically find employment in hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities. Employers often require passing the NCLEX-RN exam and obtaining licensure, but additional certifications or experience can improve job prospects. Entry-level RNs usually work under supervision and may start with shifts in patient care settings.

How much do entry-level registered nurse (ADN) nurses make?

Entry-level registered nurses with an ADN typically earn a starting salary ranging from $50,000 to $65,000 annually, depending on location, healthcare facility, and shift differentials. These positions often require passing the NCLEX-RN exam and may include benefits such as health insurance and paid time off.
