To excel in this role, you must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities, and finding solutions to new challenges. This in-office, entry-level position will support underwriting administrative needs and contribute to the success of our growing organization. Risk Management and Insurance majors are preferred, but all degrees are welcome. Insurance experience is preferred but not required.

In This Position You Will
  • Review applications and assist with preliminary underwriting activities.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain relevant account information for new business and renewal activity.
  • Support underwriters with renewal and new business processes that align with growth and retention objectives.
  • Process endorsements, policy changes, renewals, and related policy transactions.
  • Maintain accurate client and policy records within agency and carrier systems.
  • Prepare underwriting and account documentation for review and processing.
  • Coordinate with carriers, brokers, and internal teams to obtain required information and documentation.
  • Schedule inspections and monitor compliance with recommendations.
  • Assist with policy issuance, invoicing, and other underwriting support functions.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple administrative and operational tasks to support the underwriting team.
  • Help ensure service standards and deadlines are consistently met.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Risk Management & Insurance degree preferred).
  • Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn quickly in a constantly evolving industry.
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Commercial property & casualty insurance experience is helpful but not required.

The base salary range for this position isย $35,000 to $55,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
