As an IT Project Specialist, you will provide foundational support for IT project execution, vendor management, and budgeting activities. You will assist in coordinating infrastructure and technical projects, maintaining documentation, and supporting project management tools and reporting. You will collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery and operational efficiency. 
How will you drive value within the organization as an IT Project Specialist?
  • Research and analyze business problems and identify potential solutions and requirements
  • Collaborate with IT leadership on the management of project requirements and implementation
  • Maintain project documentation and electronic records that support work performed, results, and outcomes
  • Support the management and production of the monthly IT budgeting process
  • Assist with the administration and management of specific tools used for IT project management
  • Coordinate with external vendors to provide project delivery and system enhancements
  • Assist in reviewing existing vendor contracts for accuracy  and alignment with actual invoiced services
  • Support the vendor management process (new vendor reviews, renewals, onboarding, and offboarding of vendors) by collaborating with internal departments
  • Support in vetting, scoring, and onboarding new services in conjunction with structured RFPs
  • Coordinate the communication of metrics, insights, findings, project status, and updates with cross-functional team members and management through monthly and quarterly business reviews
What should you already know to be successfual as an IT Project Specialist?
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree required
  • Ability to effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business
  • Intrinsically motivated with demonstrated ability to take initiative, identify needs, make recommendations for improvement, see recommendations through implementation, and evaluate improvements for effectiveness
  • Team player that can adapt in a fast pace and changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: friendly and tactful with the ability to influence others, effectively manage conflict, exercise sound judgment, effectively manage highly sensitive and confidential information, interact at all levels within the organization, and build cross-functional partnerships across the business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and demonstrated ability to effectively set and manage multiple conflicting priorities
  • Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of standard business applications and the ability to quickly learn new computer applications as required
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver tactically
  • Demonstrate commitment to the organizational core values and key competencies
Employment Requirements:
  • Significant portions of daily assignments involve application of manual skills requiring motor coordination in combination with finger dexterity
  • Remain in a stationary position up to 100% of the workday
  • Constantly operate a computer and other standard office equipment
  • Job functions involve sedentary to light physical effort
  • Be able to perform activities such as: viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, bending, and kneeling
  • This is an exempt level position whereby business need will dictate the exact work schedule which should be expected to vary at times
  • The position does not require travel
