Job description

Role Summary
The Cybersecurity Administrator is an entry level role responsible for supporting foundational cybersecurity operations across the organization. This position plays a critical role in monitoring systems, responding to alerts, and assisting with security related activities to help maintain a secure and resilient environment.

In this role, you will actively support day to day security operations by reviewing alerts, assisting with remediation efforts, and responding to employee inquiries. You will work closely with experienced cybersecurity professionals, gaining exposure to enterprise security tools and processes while contributing to the protection of systems, data, and users.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and review alerts from cybersecurity tools including Microsoft O365 Security and Microsoft Defender and escalate as needed
• Assist in reviewing O365 and Azure Secure Scores and support remediation of identified gaps
• Support vulnerability management activities under guidance from senior team members
• Respond to cybersecurity related helpdesk tickets and assist with issue resolution
• Participate in third party risk assessments and vendor security reviews
• Gather information and ask questions to help identify potential security risks or incidents
• Guide users through basic troubleshooting steps via phone, email, or chat
• Document incidents, resolutions, and knowledge articles to support continuous improvement

Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong interest in cybersecurity with a willingness to learn new tools and technologies
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking concepts, and security principles through coursework or labs
• Exposure to Microsoft security tools including Defender, Azure, or O365 is preferred
• Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, or Linux environments
• Entry level certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Network+ are a plus
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non technical users
