Schedule: 6: 00 am – Until Finish
Position Summary
The Entry-Level Crane Operator assists with and performs crane operations under the direction of experienced personnel. The role involves inspecting equipment, preparing work areas, communicating with ground crews, and safely lifting and positioning materials. Training will be provided on company equipment, procedures, and safety requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate assigned cranes under supervision and within certification or training limitations.
  • Complete pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections.
  • Review load charts, lift plans, work orders, and site conditions with a supervisor.
  • Assist with lifting, moving, positioning, and placing materials and equipment.
  • Confirm that loads are properly rigged, balanced, and secured before movement.
  • Communicate with signal persons, riggers, spotters, and supervisors using approved hand signals or radios.
  • Monitor work areas for power lines, personnel, unstable ground, weather conditions, and other hazards..
  • Perform basic preventive maintenance, cleaning, and equipment checks.
  • Report equipment defects, incidents, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Maintain inspection forms, operating logs, and other required records.
  • Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and certification programs.
  • Follow company policies and all applicable safety requirements.
  • Perform additional site-support duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
