Job Description: 

ChenMoore is hiring an entry level or early career Electrical Engineer. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize their workload with their team, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic. 

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate shall work on various aspects of electrical engineering design, plan preparation, permitting and construction oversight while working in a project team environment.
  • Candidate would contribute to projects including collecting existing utility data; performing modeling and simulation; distribution, transmission, substation, protection & controls.
  • Prepare project design drawings within MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
  • Develop project specific detail drawings.
  • Calculate project construction quantity estimates.
  • Assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related tasks.
  • Learn and adhere to client-specific standards.
  • Coordinate with team members and client representatives.
  • Periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and or construction support.
  • Project outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and project closeout.
  • Interface with multi-disciplinary design teams.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical or environmental engineering.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • 0 - 2 years of experience working for a firm in the A/E/C industry.
  • The expectation is that such candidate would be working towards becoming a Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Strong sense of urgency, project responsibility and initiative
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply complex systems.
