Salary Range: $85,000-$120,000 USD per year

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering Services Division, working as a RF Engineer at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, West Bethesda, MD. You will have an opportunity to work on world-class military programs that support the US Navy RF Test and Evaluation program. Specifically, the applicant duties will include:

  • Support RF test planning, execution and reporting activities for naval assets
  • Conduct developmental and operational test readiness review
  • Collect data, process, and analyze as required
  • Maintain and upkeep testing equipment and instrumentation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 - 3 years of related experience desired
  • Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Knowledge of electromagnetic wave propagation and scattering theory
  • Knowledge of RF hardware, instrumentation and data acquisition system
  • Knowledge of evaluation process and measurement uncertainty
  • Ability to radio communicate, produce reports and presentations
  • Ability to travel, ride on ships and helicopters in supporting field measurements.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
