Cyberspace Research Developer
What You Will Do
  • Develop next-generation cyber capabilities.
  • Create or investigate new types of cyber physical systems.
  • Develop exploits, implants, payloads, and communication stacks based on extensive reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and software development.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to solve challenging problems and deliver actionable results.
  • Operationalize software through extensive testing, documentation, and integration with other systems.
  • Participate in laboratory and field tests to collect and analyze data, test new capabilities, and perform demonstrations.
  • Overnight travel required for certain projects.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Prior experience using creative programming skills using one or more of: C/C++ or Python.
  • Experience with some assembly language (x86/64, ARM, PPC, MIPS, etc.)
  • Reverse engineering skills using a tool such as IDA/Ghidra/BinaryNinja.
  • Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, wire-level protocols, BGP, RF communications, etc.)

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Capture the Flag (CTF) experience
  • OS kernel development experience (e.g., Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android)
  • Network programming skills
  • Hardware emulation experience
  • Working knowledge of RF signal processing and algorithm development

The salary range for this role is 62,900 USD - 119,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
