The Product Support Engineer (PSE) will provide technical support for customers of ST Engineering Middle River Aerostructure Systems' (MRAS) nacelle components, to ensure customer operational success and product safety of flight.ย  The PSE will have the opportunity to build and leverage multiple skill sets including technical writing, communication with customers and partners from around the world, technical support and hardware ownership to support current and next generation products.

A pioneer in the production and assembly of complex aerostructures including aircraft and rocket components, engine nacelle systems, thrust reversers and advanced composite products, we apply the latest digital technologies and automation in composite design and manufacturing that are second to none.ย  At ST Engineering MRAS, we are also rapidly augmenting our maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities leveraging the company's expanded aircraft nacelle portfolio as well as it's materials and processing expertise.

What YOU will do

To provide technical support for the use, maintenance, and repair of advanced composites, metallic components, and nacelle systems hardware that will require forward-thinking, a positive attitude and collaboration skills.ย  Key responsibilities of a PSE include the following:

  • Provide, with guidance from senior PSE resources, timely technical support for the repair, maintenance, and operation of our hardware to customers
  • Comprehend and synthesize data from maintenance manuals, engineering drawings & specifications to respond to customer technical inquiries
  • Monitor in-service problems and reliability of our products to ensure program reliability requirements are achieved
  • Participate on teams assigned to address in-service problems and to provide continuous product improvement and value for our customers
  • Obtain hardware damage details from customers and collaborate with Repair Engineering to generate structural repairs for field damage cases
  • Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Action investigations for events occurring on fielded hardware in the fleet
  • Collaborate with Technical Publications Team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of ST Engineering MRAS technical publications and instructions for continued airworthiness
  • Participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and issues
  • Participate as a presenter in technical, program, and customer reviews or conferences
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering and aviation industry policies and procedures

What YOU must bring to Succeed

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university is required
  • Candidate is required to be part of a rotating on-call PSE team duty roster to provide after-hours, weekend, and holiday technical support for customer aircraft-on-ground (AOG) emergencies (eligible for additional compensation incentives).
  • Travel internationally and domestically to support customer visits, technical conferences, field event investigations, and/or partner or vendor meetings (time spent on travel typically less than 5% of total work time) is required.
  • This position involves access to export-controlled technology which requires U.S. Person status or government authorization. A 'U.S. Person,' as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62, includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, individuals lawfully admitted for permanent residence (green card holders), and individuals granted asylum or refugee status in the United States. To be considered for this position, you must either be a U.S. Person or fall within a legally recognized export control exception or authorization. If hired, you will be required to provide valid proof of such status.

Estimate salary range for this role:ย $64,400 to $95,800 per year.ย ST Engineering MRAS considers several factors with extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, education/training/certification, job level, and work location. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
