Data Collector (Casual Position)

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Data Monitor (Casual position) to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team in one of the various laboratories across Element, the Data Monitor position performs a variety of routine and non-routine data collection tasks within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The Data Monitor positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.


Salary: $18.00-20.00/hr DOE

Responsibilities
    Prepare material specimens for testing
  • Perform tests as directed by customer specifications
  • Operate under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager
  • Gather and record test data
  • Construct and maintain various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment
Skills / Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
  • 0-2 years' experience in a testing related field
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts
  • Possess computer skills.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
  • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
