Position Overview

The Pyramid Care Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time remote therapist. In this important role, you will provide evidence-based therapeutic services, working collaboratively with individuals, couples, families, and groups to address their mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify client mental health needs and formulate accurate clinical diagnoses.
  • Develop and implement tailored treatment plans using a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
  • Offer individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adapting approaches based on the demographic and specific needs of each client.
  • Provide crisis intervention for clients undergoing acute mental health crises, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
  • Maintain detailed and confidential client records, including treatment approaches and progress notes, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
  • Engage in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, consisting of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare practitioners, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Advocate for clients by educating them and their families about mental health resources, treatment options, and rights.
  • Commit to professional development through ongoing training and workshops to stay informed about the latest best practices in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Pyramid Care, you will engage with a diverse range of clients facing various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. Your approach will be tailored to meet the unique cultural and emotional needs of each individual or family, fostering a therapeutic environment that respects their backgrounds and experiences.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW).
  • A minimum of a Bachelorโ€™s degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or Doctoral degree is preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities are essential.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building rapport and delivering effective therapy.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team-based environment.
  • A firm commitment to maintaining ethical and professional standards in all aspects of practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous clinical experience in a community health setting is preferred, although entry-level candidates may be considered.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 85,000 to 100,000 per year, dependent on qualifications and experience.
