The Brien Center for Psychological Matters is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our remote team. This full-time position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality outpatient mental health therapy, specifically in a detox center setting. • Evaluate diagnoses and treat a diverse range of psychosocial problems through clinical social work, actively assisting patients and their families in resolving issues related to mental or physical illness.
• Adhere to professional social work standards and the NASW Code of Ethics, ensuring that all practices are guided by integrity and respect.
• Complete comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluations to identify barriers to treatment and optimize resource utilization to enhance health outcomes.
• Consult with medical and support staff to coordinate comprehensive care programs that improve treatment adherence and patient satisfaction.
• Develop treatment plans utilizing both individual and group therapy modalities, continuously analyzing treatment progress to enhance patient decision-making regarding their healthcare.
• Document social work activities in patients' medical records according to departmental protocols, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Educate patients and families on medical and social work recommendations, promoting understanding and acceptance as part of the recovery process.
• Assess advocacy needs and coordinate community resources to strengthen social support systems for patients.
• Maintain current knowledge of community resources, utilizing them as required to support patient needs.
• Engage in continuous professional development through training opportunities pertinent to clinical responsibilities.
• Ensure compliance with departmental policies and maintain a safe care environment in accordance with legal regulations and standards.

This role focuses on clients at various stages of recovery within a detox center. You will engage with individuals facing substance use challenges, providing them with the emotional and psychological support required to navigate their recovery journey. Understanding the unique needs of this population will be essential in fostering trust and achieving positive outcomes.

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and a current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) are mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations, taking into account aspects like cultural backgrounds and stages of human development.
• At least one year of clinical experience, ideally in a mental health or healthcare setting, with an emphasis on understanding the specific needs of the patient demographic served.
• Proficiency in therapeutic techniques and a strong analytical skill set to assess and respond to patient needs appropriately.

• Experience in a detox or substance use treatment environment is particularly beneficial, offering insight into the challenges faced by this patient population.
• Familiarity with community outreach programs and resources will enhance your ability to link patients with necessary support systems.
• Active engagement in continued education and training in the mental health field is encouraged and valued.
