Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Staff Accountant. This entry-level position is primarily remote (after an initial training period) but will also require periodic work at the Home Office location. A bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting or a related field is also a requirement of this position. 0 to 1 years of experience in general ledger/month end close, and reconciliations is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.

Requirements
Duties:
  • Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Work with the accounts payable team to assure accurate and timely payments to our vendors.
  • Prepare and upload journal entries, reclassification entries and allocation entries.
  • Assist with the compilation of information for the annual audit with outside CPA firm
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.
  • Looks for ways to process improve or leverage technology to streamline processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required.

  • Ability to work independently, with little supervision.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
  • Education and/or Experience: Possess a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting. Between 0 - 1 years of experience in general ledger/month end close. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel knowledge is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Advanced computer skills utilizing accounting software and databases.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to organize and manage personal workload. Strong problem-solving skills.

The anticipated salary range for this role is $52,000 - $55,000, depending on a variety of factors such as skills, experience, and education.
