• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, employing established diagnostic criteria to formulate accurate clinical diagnoses.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that align with clients’ specific needs and goals, integrating a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, adapting approaches to cater to the unique dynamics of each situation.
• Provide crisis intervention and support, ensuring immediate assistance to clients facing acute mental health challenges or emergencies.
• Maintain confidential and comprehensive client records, including timely documentation of progress notes, treatment plans, and assessment results in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams—including psychiatrists, social workers, and various healthcare professionals—to ensure holistic and connected care for clients.
• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, while advocating for clients' needs and rights.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through training and workshops to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy.

Our clientele varies widely in age and background, presenting with a range of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will tailor your approach to meet each client’s unique circumstances, fostering a healing environment that encourages open dialogue and the exploration of pathways to recovery.

• Must be fully licensed as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R) in New York State.
• Possession of a Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
• Proven strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is necessary.

• Experience in a clinical outpatient setting is preferred but not a mandatory requirement for entry-level candidates.
