Entry Level Remote Full Stack Web Developer information

Will Fullstack be replaced by AI?

Full stack web development involves designing and building both front-end and back-end components, requiring problem-solving and adaptability. While AI tools can assist with coding and automation, they are unlikely to fully replace the need for human developers who understand project requirements, user experience, and complex system integration.

Can a full stack developer work remotely?

Yes, full stack developers can work remotely, especially at entry-level positions, as many companies offer remote opportunities for web development roles. Remote work often requires strong communication skills, proficiency with collaboration tools, and the ability to manage tasks independently.

Can I become a full stack developer with no experience?

Entry level full stack web developer roles often do not require prior professional experience, but candidates should have foundational knowledge of programming languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, as well as familiarity with frameworks and tools such as React or Node.js. Learning through online courses, coding bootcamps, and building a portfolio can help beginners qualify for these positions.

Is 40 too old to become a web developer?

Entry level remote full stack web developers come from diverse backgrounds and ages; age is not a barrier to entering the field. Many successful developers start later in life by learning coding skills, building portfolios, and gaining certifications. Employers value skills and experience over age, and continuous learning can help you stay current with technologies like JavaScript, React, and backend frameworks.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a Web Designer with a focus on Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and User Experience (UX) to join our digital marketing team. In the mortgage industry, our website is our most important lead-generation tool; your mission will be to transform complex financial information into intuitive, trustworthy, and high-converting digital experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Design Mastery: Expert proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Direct Response Design: A proven track record of designing for "action"โ€”understanding how visual hierarchy and CTA placement impact conversion.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HTML/CSS and how design translates into responsive code (familiarity with financial CMS platforms is a plus).
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Ability to interpret heatmaps and user session recordings (e.g., Hotjar or Crazy Egg) to inform design iterations.
  • Industry Sensitivity: Understanding of the "human" side of mortgagesโ€”knowing how to use imagery and copy to reduce the stress of the home-buying process.
  • Experience in FinTech, Banking, or Real Estate.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) as they relate to financial services.
  • Experience designing for mobile-first users, as many borrowers start their journey on smartphones.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead Capture Design: Design high-performing landing pages, lead-capture forms, and interactive mortgage calculators that simplify the userโ€™s path to pre-approval.
  • Trust & Compliance: Ensure all web designs adhere to strict financial industry regulations (e.g., Fair Housing Act, ADA compliance, and clear disclosure placement) while maintaining a high-end visual aesthetic.
  • User Journeys: Map out and design seamless end-to-end journeys for various personasโ€”from first-time homebuyers to seasoned investors and those looking to refinance.
  • Brand Consistency: Maintain and evolve our brand identity across all digital touchpoints, ensuring a sense of security and professionalism.
  • A/B Testing: Collaborate with the marketing team to design multiple versions of page elements to test which designs drive the highest volume of qualified loan applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Loan Officers and Underwriters to understand the technical nuances of mortgage products to ensure they are represented accurately on the site.
  • Hybrid Schedule: Mondayโ€“Wednesday in-office; Thursdayโ€“Friday remote

Compensation: $75 - $138K annually

WHAT WE BRING

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
  • Paid time off and sick days
  • Paid holidays
  • Long-term paid disability
  • Paid maternity and bonding leave
  • Full desk equipment provided
