• Build and maintain a trusting rapport with clients through empathetic communication and active listening.
• Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose mental health disorders and develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), family systems therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
• Regularly evaluate client progress and treatment effectiveness, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
• Provide referrals to specialists, support groups, or additional resources when needed to ensure comprehensive care.
• Document all therapy sessions accurately and maintain detailed client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate in clinical supervision and team meetings to share insights and collaborate on best practices in therapy.

You will engage with a diverse range of clients, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and family conflicts. Your ability to tailor therapeutic approaches to meet each client’s cultural, emotional, and developmental needs will be crucial in fostering an effective therapeutic relationship.

• Must hold an active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Maryland.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Proven experience in providing individual and group therapy, with a solid understanding of various therapeutic modalities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage client schedules and administrative duties effectively.

• Experience working in outpatient mental health settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling practices.
• Background in community mental health or crisis intervention is a plus.
