About You

As a Growth Team SkillBridge Intern, you are someone who enjoys diving into data-driven work to identify new market opportunities. You'll be directly involved in developing strategies to drive Rise8's business expansion, focusing on market research, lead generation, and supporting sales efforts. You'll be working alongside our Growth Managers and cross-functional teams to help manage the customer journey from initial contact to successful sales closure. You're curious, proactive, and passionate about solving problems with innovative solutions.

About the Growth Team

The Growth Team plays a crucial role in helping Rise8 expand its presence in the government and private sectors. As a SkillBridge intern, you'll gain exposure to federal procurement, client engagement strategies, and the proposal development process. You'll support the end-to-end sales process, from initial lead generation to proposal submission and follow-up.

About SkillBridge Internship Program

The Department of Defense (DoD) SkillBridge internship program is for military service members transitioning from federal service to commercial industry only. For DoD SkillBridge participants, we offer a 40 hr/wk apprenticeship where you will work alongside one of our professionals on product or in business operations.

Length: 120-180 days preferred

Location: Remote

Skillbridge Internship Role Responsibilities

  • Market Research: Assist with gathering intelligence on federal procurement opportunities (e.g., SAM.gov, GSA MAS) to identify potential leads and opportunities for Rise8.
  • Lead Generation and Qualification: Support the Growth Team in generating leads, qualifying prospects, and maintaining CRM data using tools like HubSpot.
  • Proposal Assistance: Help with proposal management, contributing to content creation, document editing, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
  • Client Engagement: Assist with organizing customer meetings, preparing presentations, and understanding client needs to tailor Rise8's offerings.
  • Sales and Marketing Alignment: Work closely with marketing to create content and marketing materials for client outreach, helping to drive inbound leads.
  • Support Growth Strategy: Contribute to strategies for business development, market outreach, and growth initiatives, including developing case studies and customer success stories.

Qualifications

  • Currently on active duty and eligible for SkillBridge.
  • A growth mindset with a strong willingness to learn and contribute to the team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Interest in business development, sales, and marketing with a focus on government contracts and procurement processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Entry-level experience or certifications in business development, marketing, or a related field.

All of Rise8's work in this area is with Federal Government customers that require our employees involved with their projects be U.S. citizens. As such, this role requires U.S. citizenship. If hired, you would also be required to go through a background investigation.
