About the Organization

Inner Calm Counseling Center is a community health clinic based in Dallas, Texas, dedicated to improving mental health for our local community and surrounding areas. We specialize in providing inclusive and culturally competent care, emphasizing the importance of access to mental health resources for all. Our mission is to promote emotional wellness and empower clients to lead fulfilling lives by overcoming their mental health challenges.

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing you to create a flexible and personalized work environment. While you will work independently, you will also be part of a collaborative team of mental health professionals committed to the shared goal of patient-centered care. We leverage digital tools and telehealth platforms to ensure effective delivery of services, engage in team meetings, and maintain open lines of communication among colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of clients' mental health concerns to develop accurate clinical diagnoses and individualized treatment plans that align with their specific needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide tailored individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Deliver immediate crisis intervention support for clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records that include treatment plans, progress notes, and assessment outcomes, adhering to professional and ethical standards.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care and support for clients.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health challenges, coping strategies, and available resources in the community, acting as an advocate for their rights and needs.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments and best practices in mental health through ongoing training, workshops, and participation in relevant professional development activities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and more. Our center is committed to providing culturally affirming care, understanding the unique backgrounds and experiences that shape our clients' lives.

Qualifications
  • A valid license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in the state of Texas.
  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic skills relevant to mental health therapy.
  • A minimum of two years of related experience in a clinical setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.
  • Capacity to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team dynamic.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in therapeutic practice.
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience in a community health clinic or other clinical settings is preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms for efficient client management.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a range of benefits including:

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance options.
  • Generous continuing education and professional development opportunities, enabling you to further your knowledge and skills.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment that values team contributions.
  • Flexible work schedules, with options for both full-time and part-time roles available.
  • Paid time off and paid holidays to promote work-life balance.
  • Potential for sign-on bonuses to support your transition into our organization.
