Job Summary

GCP PAPER USA, Inc. is seeking a friendly, organized, and reliable Entry-Level Receptionist to welcome guests and support daily office operations at our New Caney plant. As the main point of contact at the front desk, you will greet visitors, answer phone calls in both English and Spanish, and assist with general administrative tasks.

This is a great entry-level opportunity for a customer-focused candidate looking to start a career in administrative operations within a growing manufacturing environment. No prior manufacturing experience required. We will train you on our plant safety and check-in procedures!

Key Responsibilities1. Front Desk & Visitor Care
  • Warmly greet all arriving visitors, job applicants, vendors, and delivery drivers in both English and Spanish.

  • Assist guests with our visitor check-in system, issue visitor passes, and share basic facility safety guidelines before granting entry.

  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and tidy front lobby area.

2. Phone & Communication
  • Answer incoming central phone calls promptly in English and Spanish.

  • Direct calls to the correct person or department and take clear, accurate messages when someone is unavailable.

  • Check and direct main reception email inquiries.

3. Mail & Administrative Support
  • Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and incoming packages.

  • Assist team members with basic administrative tasks such as copying, scanning, filing paperwork, and organizing meeting folders.

  • Help monitor front-office supply levels (pens, paper, folders) and place reorders when supplies run low.

  • Assist in scheduling meeting rooms and setting up simple beverage or lunch arrangements for site meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Language: Full professional fluency in both English and Spanish required (verbal and basic written).

  • Experience: 0 to 1+ years of experience in customer service, retail, food service, or administrative support. (Entry-level candidates with strong communication skills are encouraged to apply!)

  • Skills:

    • Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

    • Friendly, dependable, and punctual.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Front Office: Primary work is done at a desk in a clean, climate-controlled front office environment.

  • Plant Floor: Occasional short walks into the plant area to escort guests or deliver documents. (Company-provided safety boots, safety glasses, and hard hat are required when on the plant floor.)
