Job Description

  • Represent institutional lenders in sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions.
  • Manage financing transactions from inception through closing.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate loan documents and related financing instruments.
  • Review title, survey, zoning, and other real estate due diligence materials.
  • Coordinate with clients, borrowers' counsel, and other transaction participants to keep deals moving efficiently.
  • Work on a variety of asset classes and complex financing structures.
  • Handle or gain exposure to construction loans, syndicated and securitized loans, mezzanine financing, intercreditor arrangements, and co-lender structures.
  • Support loan modifications, workouts, and restructurings as applicable.
  • Apply strong legal analysis and negotiation skills to resolve issues and protect client interests.
  • Leverage AI platforms and natural language programming tools as part of modern legal practice.

Qualifications

  • Active New York Bar license.
  • 2+ years of commercial real estate finance experience.
  • Experience representing institutional lenders preferred.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating loan documents.
  • Experience managing financing transactions through closing.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience with AI platforms and natural language programming.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Large regional, national, or international law firm experience preferred.
  • Experience with complex capital structures, construction loans, syndicated or securitized loans, mezzanine financing, or workouts is a plus.
