The Philanthropy Engineering team advances Walmart’s commitment to responsible business by developing cloud-native backend services using open-source technologies. Collaborating with engineers, UX designers, and product managers, the team delivers scalable, maintainable solutions supporting initiatives like disaster relief and community programs. Emphasizing technical expertise and innovation, the team applies agile methodologies and leverages skills in React-Native, React.js, Spring Boot, APIs, Java, and cloud databases. Members focus on producing reliable, efficient software aligned with business goals, enhancing community engagement through impactful technology and continuous improvement.
What you'll do:
  • Own delivery of scoped features and components, managing implementation, iteration, testing, and support within collaborative engineering teams.
  • Adapt GenAI tools, write clean, efficient, and reliable code across multiple languages, driving full software development lifecycle including CI/CD and automated testing.
  • Participate in solution design, evaluating trade-offs to build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems aligned with platform objectives.
  • Conduct code reviews, debugging, and defect management to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Build app and UI components from prototypes and wireframes
  • Monitor application performance and maintain system reliability through proactive DevOps practices.
  • Mentor peers, promote engineering best practices, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
