Job description

Reach Forklift Operator (1st & 2nd Shift)

Location: Carteret, NJ 07008
Pay Rate: $19.00 – $20.50 per hour

Schedule Options:

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday | 4:00 PM – 12:30 AM
  • Overtime and occasional Saturdays may be required


Job Overview

The Reach Forklift Operator is responsible for operating reach trucks and other power industrial equipment to move, locate, stack, and count merchandise. This role ensures safe, accurate, and efficient handling of inventory while maintaining company standards in safety, quality, productivity, and teamwork.

Associates must follow all company and site-specific policies and may be required to assist in various warehouse functions as needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products using Reach Trucks and other powered equipment
  • Pull and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound shipments are correct and damage-free
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with physical inventory counts
  • Perform proper stock rotation and inventory control practices
  • Enter data accurately into Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Complete labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking tasks as needed


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of Reach Truck (Stand-Up) experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Sit-Down Forklift experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Electric Pallet Jack experience (Head-Rider & End-Rider)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Warehouse / Distribution / Logistics environment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations including:
    • Put-away
    • Order picking
    • Shipping & receiving
    • Loading and unloading


Experience Required

  • Reach Truck: 2+ years (Required)
  • Sit-Down Forklift: 2+ years (Required)
  • Electric Pallet Jack: 2+ years (Required)
