Role Purpose

We are seeking Level I Radiography Assistants to support certified Level II Technicians in

performing radiographic inspections (RT). This entry-level role is ideal for individuals

beginning a career in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), with a focus on learning radiographic

techniques, safety standards, and field operations.

โ€ข Interest in Radiographic Testing (RT) and field inspection work

โ€ข Ability to support X-ray truck operations and inspection activities

โ€ข Willingness to travel and work in industrial environments

Key Responsibilities

โ€ข Assist Level II Technicians in performing RT inspections using X-ray equipment

โ€ข Support setup, operation, and breakdown of radiographic equipment

โ€ข Maintain controlled areas and assist with radiation safety procedures

โ€ข Handle tools, materials, and film/digital imaging equipment as directed

โ€ข Assist with basic documentation and data collection

โ€ข Follow all company safety policies and procedures

โ€ข Travel to regional and national job sites as required

โ€ข Maintain equipment and ensure proper storage and transportation

Required Qualifications

โ€ข High school diploma or equivalent

โ€ข Strong commitment to safety and willingness to learn radiation safety practices

โ€ข Ability to work in physically demanding environments (lifting, standing, outdoor

conditions)

โ€ข Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours

โ€ข Valid driverโ€™s license and clean driving record

Preferred / Enhancements

โ€ข Current or previous Radiation Safety (RAD Safety) training

โ€ข State Trainee Card or ability to obtain one

โ€ข Previous experience in construction, oil & gas, or industrial environments

โ€ข Basic mechanical aptitude or familiarity with tools and equipment

  • Required
    • Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
    • Strong work ethic and reliability
    • Basic communication skills
    • Ability to pass applicable company and regulatory safety requirements
  • Preferred
    • Interest in pursuing ASNT Level I and future Level II certifications
    • Prior exposure to NDT or related technical field
    • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn reporting processes
