Job description

Job Summary: The Radiation Oncology Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients under the direction of the Radiation oncologist. Must accurately administer radiation to patients per physician's prescription, using information from patients' chart. Schedules simulation and treatment appointments and is responsible for coding patient charges with proper billing codes. Maintains and monitors equipment performance including simulator, treatment machines, film processor; and notifies appropriate supervisor as to any improprieties.

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Must be ARRT registered or registry eligible.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiation oncology technology with one year certificate in Radiation Therapy required. 
  • Current AHA CPR certification required.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence.
