Job description

Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical systems to meet project objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical excellence and project success. Drive innovation and efficiency in all aspects of mechanical engineering projects.

  • Designs, develops, prototypes, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
  • Develops specifications for new parts or prototypes.
  • Identifies appropriate materials and processes to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.
  • Use CAD software and other design and modeling tools to develop and improve parts and products.
  • Conducts analysis and tests to determine weaknesses and failures in prototypes or products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports.
  • Confer with engineers or other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, or provide technical information.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, or other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, or maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems.
  • Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs.
  • Investigate equipment failures or difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and recommend remedial actions.
  • Develop or test models of alternate designs or processing methods to assess feasibility, sustainability, operating condition effects, potential new applications, or necessity of modification.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area. Follow established safety and ergonomic standards. 
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature and/or assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the division’s quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
  • Experience in off highway automation and/or autonomy.
  • Strong experience with off highway vehicle electronics.
  • Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Team player who is self-motivated and has the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
  • Travel may be necessary.
  • US Persons required for this position.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, in field related to specific position.
  • Entry level or early career engineer 0-2 years with bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or master’s degree in engineering field. Or experience in lieu of education.
