Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

  • Inspect, test, and evaluate incoming parts, subassemblies, and fully assembled semiconductor metrology tools.
  • Identify mechanical defects including issues with pneumatic systems, hydraulics, fittings, valves, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, including controllers, wiring harnesses, sensors, power supplies, and microprocessor-based control units.
  • Verify compliance with engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.
  • Perform functional testing and verification of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Accept or reject materials and finished products based on inspection results.
  • Clearly document inspection and test results; maintain accurate quality records and inspection reports.
  • Quarantine and manage nonconforming materials in accordance with quality procedures.
  • Communicate inspection findings and corrective actions with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams.
  • Support supplier quality by managing incoming inspections, vendor quality communications, and returns.
  • Track and report quality metrics including rejected material, failure trends, and vendor performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product reliability, quality, and inspection efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree (AS) in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on inspection, testing, or quality experience in a manufacturing or equipment-build environment.
  • Experience as an electrical technician, production assembler, test technician, or quality inspector strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and their failure modes.
  • Comfortable working around highvalue semiconductor or precision manufacturing equipment.
  • Proficient with measurement tools and inspection documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and clear communication skills.
  • Enjoys hands-on technical work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
