Automotive Quality Control Inspector

On Site | Arlington, TX

Schedule: Monday to Friday | 8-hour shifts

Position Overview

As an Automotive Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for auditing, inspecting, and documenting vehicle inventory to ensure accurate records and the protection of company assets. This role requires close coordination with the service, retail, and corporate teams, as well as timely updates to inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and inspect all incoming vehicles at the assigned location
  • Perform detailed check-ins, noting all safety issues and required repairs
  • Photograph vehicles and upload images to the computer system
  • Update vehicle status in the system upon arrival and throughout the reconditioning process
  • Coordinate with the Reconditioning and Inspection Manager to prioritize vehicle work
  • Manage vehicle logistics to/from internal and external repair shops
  • Drive and test each vehicle (~15 minutes) to identify drivability issues
  • Support accounting with inventory audits
  • Communicate findings to managers and maintain accurate documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Inventory Manager or Service Manager
Qualifications
  • 3โ€“6 months of experience in automotive repair, lube technician work, or related fields
  • Strong written communication and reporting skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Prior dealership experience preferred

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driverโ€™s License (Required)
  • Ability to drive and inspect vehicles regularly
  • Background check and eligibility to work in the U.S.
