Role: Manual backend API Test Analyst

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Job Type: Contract


We are looking for an experienced QA Test Analyst / Engineer with strong expertise in API, web, and mobile application testing to join a fast-paced Agile team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience validating REST/SOAP services, performing cross-browser testing, and troubleshooting complex application issues while ensuring high-quality software delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing for web and mobile applications.
  • Test REST and SOAP APIs using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.
  • Execute cross-browser and cross-platform testing using BrowserStack and SauceLabs.
  • Analyze application logs using Splunk to identify and troubleshoot defects.
  • Utilize Chrome Developer Tools for debugging UI and application issues.
  • Write clear acceptance criteria, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Validate data-driven integrations and ensure seamless system functionality.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Track defects, test execution, and documentation using Jira, Zephyr, and Confluence.


Required Skills
