A Stable, Hands-On Role in Manufacturing Support

LGS Technologies is seeking a dependable Entry-Level Shipping & Receiving Clerk to assist with daily material handling, shipping, and receiving activities. This is an on-site, hands-on role suited for someone looking to gain experience in a manufacturing environment and contribute to the day-to-day flow of operations.

As a family-owned custom fabricator with more than 73 years of steady growth, we value consistency, teamwork, and employees who take pride in reliable work. This position supports regular shipping and receiving functions and plays an important role in keeping materials organized and moving efficiently throughout the facility.

Summary RECEIVING CLERK SUMMARY

Verify, stock and data entry, for all receipts against purchase orders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Measures, counts, and matches material received to packing slip and purchase orders daily.
  • Receives material in computer system.
  • Labels all received material with an LGS bar code including date code, lot number and part number.
  • Delivers all other packages to the addressees.
  • Maintains files on purchase orders not received.
  • Counts and checks the quality of incoming material condition.
  • Assists Inventory and Material Handlers as needed.
  • Forwards completed paperwork from materials received to the Purchasing Department.
  • Notifies Purchasing of any materials not meeting required standards or quality.
  • Shares responsibility for the organization of the warehouse.

Summary SHIPPING CLERK

Ships all customers’ orders.

  • Checks carton markings and all shipping documents.
  • Route all customers’ orders that do not specify a carrier.
  • Coordinates the delivery and pickup of all local Customers orders.
  • Ships all customers’ orders via UPS, Fed X, Motor Freight or Airfreight.
  • Completes all necessary shipping documents.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position follows a consistent, regularly scheduled workweek 7:00 AM-3:30 PM and is best suited for candidates seeking a stable entry-level role in manufacturing.
