POSITION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for general repairs and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs within level of ability and training.
  2. Responsible for monitoring, operating and maintaining all mechanical equipment.
  3. Responsible for maintaining physical building including structural and cosmetic
  4. Keeps the mechanical rooms, electrical and other work areas clean.
  5. Provides proper safety and security to company assets, including personnel.
  6. Assists personnel with carpentry, plumbing, welding, masonry, boiler, electrical and HVAC systems.
  7. Understands and follows all applicable Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures.
  8. Adheres to all rules and regulations pertaining to the mechanical maintenance department.
  9. Maintains daily log, maintenance forms, and requested reports for management.
  10. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
  11. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
  12. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  13. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
  14. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
  15. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Previous mechanical maintenance experience helpful.
  2. Must have the ability and desire to learn new skills in the areas of carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and LP gas systems, welding, Swimming Pool & Spa Operations Excellent time management.
  3. Organizational, public relations and communication skills.
  4. Ability to resolve conflicts efficiently and professionally.
  5. Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Prolonged standing and walking is required.
  2. Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
  3. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.
  4. Subject to external working conditions including extreme weather conditions.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Education Required: High School Graduate or General Educate Degree (GED)
Experience: Six months related experience
Computer Skills: Must have basic computer skills
Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
