How You Can Help Us Make a DifferenceAre you looking for a hands-on role where you can learn new skills and help keep your community running smoothly? In this entry-level public works position, you'll support roadway drainage, asphalt placement, and a variety of maintenance and construction activities that keep our streets and infrastructure safe and functional. Training is provided, and assignments will grow in complexity as your skills develop.
You'll assist with building and repairing manholes, catch basins, sidewalks, curbs, and gutters, as well as general street construction and maintenance tasks such as pouring asphalt and concrete, digging trenches, laying pipe, and cleaning drainage ditches. Your work may also include clearing roadside vegetation, cleaning streets and gutters, collecting debris, and loading materials for transport.
Safety is a top priority, and you'll use appropriate safety equipment, help direct traffic, and maintain awareness of your work environment. You'll operate hand and power tools, small equipment, lawn mowers, and County vehicles as needed, and assist with loading and unloading materials, supplies, and equipment.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience that shows an ability to maintain steady employment in any field.
Licenses and/or Certificates:- Must maintain a valid driver's license.
