Job Position: Network Engineer

Location: Troy, MI

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Service provider Core, Edge, Border, Access and Aggregation routing and switching equipment.
  • Voice and data peering.
  • Attention to detail with great communications skills to interact/articulate in a professional manner.
  • Peering IXC's.
  • Network Telemetry within Network Monitory Systems (NMS).
  • Usage of TACACS+, AAA services.
  • DDoS monitoring and mitigation.
  • Network Protocols and OSI models (TCP, UDP, VLAN, and MPLS).
  • Linux OS.
  • Standard best practices for network development and design.
  • Networking, Telephony and VoIP terminology.
  • Knowledge of SIP/RTP/TLS/SRTP/ENUM/DNS.
  • Wireshark & PCAP applications.
  • Elastic Logging systems.
  • Juniper, Cisco, JUNOS, Traverse, AdTran, Fortinet.
  • Certification preferred - CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, or CCDE w/influence on "Service Provider" tracks.
  • Excellent time management, organization, decision making and problem solving
  • Flexibility to work during planned and emergency maintenance windows.
