Job description

This entry-level Project Engineer opportunity is a springboard to grow your earnings and career โ€“ if you are meeting company standards, you will receive a $10k raise within your first 6 months and additional $10k raises for the next 2 years ($30k in raises over the next 3 years). While Project Manager is the most common next step (this promotion path normally takes 3 years but can be quicker, depending on YOU and your pace), youโ€™ll have the chance to explore other exciting opportunities within our different departments.

Project Engineerย โ€“ What You Will Do

You will play a pivotal part in supporting our team of Project Managers and making sure construction projects are running smoothly from start to finish.

  • Support and maintain data, information, communications, and approvals required by project and company requirements between owner, contractors/subcontractors, or other project-related entities
  • Participate in and maintain document and project control systems and procedures.
  • Attend project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses
  • Obtain, track, and document contractor and subcontractor contractual requirements (and construction plans and specs) on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment as directed by project manager
  • Assist in project closeout procedures

You will support multiple projects concurrently. You will work in the office and out in the field (estimated 70% of your time will be performed in the field or on job sites). No overnight travel.

ย Project Engineerโ€“ Required Skills, Experience & Personality Fit

  • Comfort with working on site at a job site / travel throughout the Houston area to job sites
  • You are not happy with the status quo โ€“ you want to do BETTER
  • You enjoy communicating with many different people every day (you might even call yourself an extrovert!)
  • Organization skills โ€“ you are a master at juggling many moving parts and keeping the team organized
  • An understanding of the construction life cycle from estimation/bid through project completion (you might have, not required)

Compensation $40,000 to $65,000 (with a $10k raise after 6 months if meeting company requirements) and additional bonus potential.

You will receive medical, dental and vision insurance options, paid time off, paid holidays, and a 401k plan with annual company contribution. In addition, our office provides you access to on-site health care for urgent care items and prescriptions for you and your family.

This role requires successful completion of a drug test, background check and clean driving record prior to start date.
