What You'll Do

Drive Project Excellence

  • Oversee all aspects of civil design, scheduling, budgeting, and permitting for diverse projects including commercial, residential, industrial, retail, and public infrastructure.
  • Develop and refine project scopes, schedules, and budgets that align with client goals and company standards.
  • Use AutoCAD and Civil 3D to produce and oversee engineering construction drawings that meet local, state, and federal requirements.

Lead with Strategy and Impact

  • Direct design teams through all phases of development, from early planning to construction delivery.
  • Collaborate with consultants, regulatory authorities, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Apply engineering logic and problem-solving to navigate challenges, negotiate approvals, and advance project timelines.

Foster Relationships and Growth

  • Maintain and expand trusted client relationships through consistent communication, responsiveness, and technical excellence.
  • Serve as a key liaison between leadership, staff, and clients translating complex design goals into actionable strategies.

Ensure Quality and Accountability

  • Manage workload of $750K$1M in invoiced project work.
  • Oversee QC/QA checklists for all submittals, ensuring compliance and excellence in every deliverable.
  • Review team assignments, time tracking, and project budgets to maintain profitability and performance.

Mentor and Inspire

  • Train and manage drafters and design staff, fostering a culture of growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Delegate tasks effectively using online project management tools and lead with transparency and accountability.

What You Bring

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Civil Engineering or related field (preferred or in progress).
  • 5+ years of experience in Land Development and 2+ years of project management experience.
  • 3+ years of experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D for design and documentation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of civil infrastructure design paving, water, sewer, grading, drainage, and utilities.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary design teams while balancing competing priorities and budgets.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a client-first, solutions-oriented mindset.
