Job Description

Job Summary:

Seeking an entry-level Business Analyst with a strong interest in production support and project management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to learn the fundamentals of project management.

The Business Analyst will provide day-to-day support for our technology platforms, ensuring smooth and reliable operations through timely identification and resolution of production issues. In this role, you will collaborate closely with digital, data science, underwriting, and operations teams to support ongoing production activities, coordinate small projects, drive process improvements, and assist with system testing. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, possess an entrepreneurial spirit, have a service mentality, and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

The Business Analyst is a member of the Transportation and Sharing Economy Operations' team, which will support technology platforms across the department.ย  Transportation and Sharing Economy underwrites admitted and non-admitted Auto, General Liability, and Excess/Umbrella lines of business.

What you will do:

Production Support:

    • Serve as the first point of contact for user-reported issues, questions, and requests related to production systems.
    • Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve production issues, escalating as needed and ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
    • Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and addressing potential problems.
    • Document and track issues, resolutions, and recurring trends to support continuous improvement.

Entry-Level Project Management:

    • Assist in coordinating small-scale projects and process enhancements, including scheduling meetings, tracking action items, and updating project documentation.
    • Gather and document business requirements and user stories in a clear and concise manner.
    • Support backlog management by assisting in organizing, prioritizing, and tracking tasks to maximize business value.
    • Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure successful deployment of system changes and enhancements.
    • Communicate project and production status, roadblocks, and solutions to team members and leadership.

Collaboration & Documentation:

    • Create and maintain process documentation, including step-by-step guides and workflow diagrams.
    • Contribute to knowledge base articles and user support materials.

What you will bring to C&F:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 1-2+ year of experience or relevant internship experience
  • Strong interest in production support, technology operations, and project coordination.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and see tasks through to completion.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams).
  • Experience with Confluence and Jira is a plus.
  • Experience supporting insurance operations (Auto, General Liability, Excess/Umbrella) is preferred but not required.
