Entry Level Project Manager Remote information

What does an entry level project manager do in a remote role?

An entry level project manager in a remote role assists in planning, organizing, and overseeing projects from start to finish, typically under the supervision of a more experienced manager. Their responsibilities include coordinating team communications, tracking project timelines and deliverables, managing documentation, and ensuring tasks stay on schedule. Working remotely, they use digital tools to collaborate with team members, attend virtual meetings, and report progress. This role is ideal for those looking to start a career in project management while working from home.

How can I make $2000 a week working from home?

An entry level remote project manager can increase earning potential by gaining relevant certifications like PMP, developing strong organizational and communication skills, and managing multiple projects efficiently. Earning $2000 a week typically requires handling high-value projects, working long hours, or taking on additional freelance or consulting work alongside a full-time role.

How do I get into project manager with no experience?

Entry-level project managers can start by gaining relevant skills through online courses in project management, communication, and organization. Obtaining certifications like the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) can also improve job prospects, and gaining experience through internships or volunteer projects helps build practical knowledge for remote project management roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Entry Level Project Manager in a remote setting, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Project Manager remotely, you need a foundational understanding of project management principles, organizational skills, and typically a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Familiarity with project management software like Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Project, as well as basic proficiency in video conferencing and collaboration tools, is often required. Strong communication, time management, and self-motivation are essential soft skills for coordinating tasks and engaging with distributed teams. These skills enable effective project execution, clear team alignment, and successful delivery of project objectives in a virtual environment.

Job description

Position: Business Analyst

Location:Houston, TX preferred, or remote (U.S.) with Pacific Time Zone

Reports to: Principal and Program Manager

Type: Full-time or contract

The Role

We are hiring a hybrid Project Manager and Business Analyst with title and escrow technology experience to support a multi-program title and escrow technology transformation for a national title and settlement services organization. The primary need is project management: driving timelines, tracking tasks and dependencies, running the meeting and status cadence, capturing notes and decisions, and keeping a fast-moving, high-visibility program on schedule. The role also carries hands-on business analysis: mapping current-state operations, supporting the gap analysis, and documenting target-state workflows that configuration and integration teams build from.

The program runs two concurrent efforts, a production platform migration and decommission and a multi-instance platform consolidation, alongside a related interim onboarding effort, all feeding a shared target state. You will keep these workstreams coordinated and own the analysis and documentation that anchors them. The timeline is condensed and the work is high visibility, so we need someone who can work independently, coordinate with precision, and keep business and technical stakeholders aligned.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive project timelines, task and dependency tracking, and status reporting across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Run the meeting cadence: agendas, notes, decisions, and follow-up actions, keeping stakeholders aligned and accountable.
  • Manage risks, issues, and dependencies, surfacing and escalating them clearly and early.
  • Document current-state title and escrow production workflows, staff-to-system mappings, and data flows across platforms such as SoftPro Select, ResWare, and legacy production systems.
  • Lead current-state versus target-state gap analysis for platform migrations and multi-instance consolidations.
  • Produce target-state workflow documentation that serves as the build specification for configuration teams.
  • Gather and document requirements for integrations, including production-system-to-Workday, banking and wire (incoming and outgoing wires, positive pay), and reconciliation tools such as Rynoh.
  • Define data migration scope, history requirements, and cleansing needs across source and target systems.
  • Serve as the bridge between business stakeholders (title, escrow, accounting) and the technical and configuration teams, keeping requirements clear and decisions documented.
  • Support test planning, user acceptance testing, and go-live and cutover readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • Project management capability: driving timelines, tracking tasks and dependencies, status reporting, and meeting facilitation across a multi-workstream program.
  • Hands-on title and escrow technology experience. Direct, recent experience with one or more title and escrow production or closing platforms, such as SoftPro, ResWare, RamQuest, Qualia, AIM+, or similar.
  • Working knowledge of title and escrow operations: orders intake, title production, escrow and settlement, trust and escrow accounting, recording, and closing.
  • Proven business analysis experience: requirements gathering, process mapping, gap analysis, and clear, well-structured written documentation.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, migrations, or consolidations in a title, escrow, or settlement services environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences and to keep a fast-moving, multi-workstream program aligned.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities on a condensed timeline.
  • Willingness to travel for periodic on-site work (a small number of out-of-state visits per project).

Preferred (a Plus)

  • Project management certification: PMP or CSM.
  • Experience with Workday integrations and the deprecation of legacy ERP or accounting systems such as Business Central.
  • Experience with banking and wire integrations and reconciliation tooling (for example, Rynoh, positive pay, secure wire platforms).
  • Exposure to integration middleware (for example, Palantir) or related data-mapping work.
  • Business analysis or product certification (PMI-PBA, CBAP, or CSPO).
