Job Title: (Entry Level) Production Worker

Pay: $18.50/hr

Job Description

Join a dynamic production facility that manufactures custom office furniture for major corporate clients. As an entry-level production worker, you will support various departments, including Wood Fabrication, Wood Assembly, Steel Fabrication, and Steel Assembly. You will perform a wide range of tasks such as cleaning, heavy lifting, machine operation, banding, and general production work to help ensure high-quality, custom-built office furniture is produced efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

  • Work in different production departments, including Wood Fabrication, Wood Assembly, Steel Fabrication, and Steel Assembly, as assigned.
  • Operate production equipment and machinery safely and efficiently after receiving proper training.
  • Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and fabricate office furniture components.
  • Perform general production tasks such as banding, material handling, and staging products for the next phase of production.
  • Carry out cleaning and housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work area.
  • Lift and move materials and products weighing up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the shift.
  • Stand and walk on the production floor for up to 10 hours a day while performing assigned tasks.
  • Adapt to working in loud and potentially dusty areas of the facility, depending on department assignment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment while working.
  • Perform multiple duties and support different areas of production as needed to meet daily output and quality goals.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout a 10-hour workday.
  • Comfort working in loud manufacturing environments and around production machinery.
  • Ability to stand and be on your feet for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks and rotate between different duties as needed.
  • Basic ability to work with hand tools and power tools to assemble furniture components.
  • Reliability and readiness to work in a high-volume production setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with hand and power tools in a production or assembly environment is a plus.
  • Experience in wood fabrication or wood assembly is beneficial.
  • Exposure to steel fabrication, welding, or steel assembly is an advantage.
  • Comfort working in a large manufacturing facility with multiple departments.
  • Interest in long-term employment and growing within a production environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.40 - $18.40/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
